In addition to manufacturing our signature waste chutes, we offer a full range of components required for installing a comprehensive waste management ecosystem, including chutes, doors, sorting systems, compactors and containers.

Founded in 1986, MMI rapidly became a leader in the production of waste chutes and waste management solutions. Our journey has been defined by our ongoing dedication to excellence and our willingness to adapt to the changing needs of our clients through strategic innovations and expansions.

From our modest beginnings as a metal processing company, we have evolved to lead the way in offering comprehensive waste management solutions for multi-unit buildings, hospitals, senior living homes and public spaces.

Today, as a leader in the industry, MMI stands out as the exclusive Quebec-based firm that offers a complete array of products, ranging from waste containers to advanced sorting systems, to compactors and chutes.

Our team

The MMI family consists of over 55 employees representing 14 distinct cultural backgrounds, all united by one common goal: the need to surpass client expectations. Our designers, welders, and tinsmiths, many of whom have more than three decades of experience, join forces to redefine what is possible in every project.

Sylvain Turcot

President

With over 35 years of experience in manufacturing, service, and research and development, Sylvain plays a crucial role in MMI’s strategic and financial growth. He is known for his ability in implementing strategic plans aimed at promoting organizational growth and effectiveness. He has also distinguished himself by rallying teams and strengthening their dedication to reach the company’s objectives. Sylvain places a strong emphasis on teamwork, inclusive decision-making, and employee empowerment. His primary focus of concern is the environmental challenges we currently face.

Marie-Pier Rehel

Director of Finance

With over 20 years of experience in finance, Marie-Pier who holds a CPA designation, combines technical expertise with a strategic perspective. Having worked in both the public and private sectors, she has gained valuable experience and versatility. In her role as Director of Finance, she emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to optimize the company’s financial performance and support its growth. Marie-Pier’s ability to easily communicate complex financial concepts and her insight into business matters position her as a key asset for any management team, facilitating the making of informed strategic decisions.

Jenny Roche

Director, Service
and Project Management

Having previously worked as an Administrative Assistant in the construction industry in France, Jenny moved to Montreal in 2020. Progressing rapidly at MMI, she transitioned from an assistant position to overseeing the service department as director and significantly contributing to its growth. By combining her technical expertise with her understanding of the business on a global scale, she was able to implement impactful strategies. Jenny played a key role in both the expansion of the team and significant sales increase. Her ability for identifying opportunities and converting them into precise action plans, as well as her enthusiastic drive, promotes the company’s continuous development.

Cherif Ghozzi

Supervisor, Production
and Supply Support

With a master’s degree from the University of Quebec at Rimouski and six years of engineering experience, Cherif combines technical expertise with proficient management skills. He is responsible for resolving production challenges through technical support and oversees the engineering department. As Supervisor, he manages procurement activities, including strategic purchasing and maintaining supplier relationships. Cherif’s skillful management of multiple departments and his analytic leadership are essential for the successful accomplishment of Multiforme Métal’s objectives. His commitment to continual improvement and operational efficiency makes him an invaluable asset to our organization.

Grettel Dueñas

Coordinator,
Human Resources

Grettel specializes in human resources and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Sherbrooke and is a certified member of the CRHA. By dedicating herself to human resources, she gained a wealth of experience in understanding cultural nuances, adapting to diverse workplace environments amidst challenging circumstances, and handling recruitment, onboarding, and compensation processes. Grettel is committed to prioritizing people and ensuring that her contributions lead to the well-being and development of the team.
