Job Description
Working within our in-plant fabrication operations, you will be responsible for the cutting, fabrication, assembly, and welding of waste and laundry chute components. This role involves working with sheet metal and light metal materials such as galvanized and stainless steel, while adhering to company plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from technical plans, sketches, drawings, and parts lists
- Prepare parts for assembly: cut, adjust, drill, bend, or grind as needed
- Assemble mechanical and metal components according to specified tolerances
- Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, or other processes depending on material)
- Conduct visual inspections of welds and assemblies to ensure compliance standards
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Maintain an organized and clean work area (5S, safety)
- Collaborate with the production and quality departments to resolve technical issues
- Comply with occupational health and safety policies
Required Qualifications:
- DVS in welding-fitting, precision sheet metal work, or equivalent professional experience
- MIG/TIG welding experience with aluminum, stainless steel, and light steel (an asset)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Knowledge of tolerances and precision assembly techniques
- Team spirit, autonomy, and sense of responsibility
- ASP construction card or health and safety training certification (an asset)

Conditions:
- Compensation: $21 to $30 per hour based on experience
- Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Office based in Montreal (Rivière-des-Prairies) with occasional site visits primarily in the Greater Montreal area
